Are you looking for Tyre Repairs for your vehicle?
The statistics say, about every 100,000 miles a driver will experience a flat tyre. That means sooner or later it might happen to you as well.
A tyre puncture does not necessarily mean you have to spend good money on a new one. In many cases, a tyre can be repaired for a fraction of the cost of a new one.
Should it come to a breakdown or your tyre has been damaged, come to us t Bourne Car & Van Hire. We look closely at each tyre to see if it can be repaired. Through various procedures, we are able to "patch up" damaged tyres again.
Sounds simple, but there is indeed a bit more to it than just putting a plaster on it...
We check the tyre thoroughly to evaluate the damage (damage to the sidewall of the tyre cannot be repaired as it would not be safe). The damaged area needs to be cleaned properly. Then the tyre can be repaired with special, high quality materials.
After the repair, the tyre will be inflated and pressure tested, to make sure it holds the air and everything is all right. Afterwards the tyres will be put back on the rim which will then be fitted on the car.
How long does a tyre repair take?
A tyre repair takes about half an hour to 45 minutes.
Is a repaired tyre safe?
Tyres that have been repaired in our workshop by our trained specialists are safe in any case on the road. Whether summer, winter or all-season tyres, all are tested several times before you can go back on the road.
Please note:Tyres that have damage to the sidewall or have previously been treated for the same puncture using a DIY emergency tyre repair kit can unfortunately not be repaired.
Also, if the puncture has occurred on a tyre which is already worn close to the legal limit, you should consider having the tyre replaced instead of just repaired.
