FAQ's
1: Do I have to pay a deposit when booking?
A partial fee of the hire will be required to secure booking, this will then be taken off the remainder of the hire balance when you come to collect the vehicle.
2: What documents do I need?
You will need to bring your valid full UK driving licence (photocard).
You will also need to bring two letters as proof of address in the form of:
- Bank statement
- Utility bill
- Council Tax bill
- Mortgage Bill
These also have to be dated within the last three months. The address must match your driving licence.

3: What are the age limits to drive your vehicles?
You must be 21 and over and held your driving licence for at least two years.
And you must be 25 or over to drive vehicles over 7.5ton.
Maximum age is 75.
4: What happens if i return the van late?
If you return the van late you will have to pay a late fee, but if you are going to be late returning the van please contact the office and we will be able to discuss this further.
5: Do you collision damage waiver?
Yes we can offer collision damage waivers. These are through a third party company and will cost £10 per day extra. Or you can arrange this cover yourself by clicking the link here https://www.insurance4carhire.com/products/van-hire-excess-insurance
6: Maximum penalties and points allowed?
No more than 6 points (SP, CU80 etc)
7: How is your day calculated?
Your hire time starts from the time you collect the vehicle (within working hours) a day is calculated as 24 hours.
8: Fuel policy?
Fuel will be checked before the vehicles leaves and needs to be returned with the same amount of fuel.
10: Event of breakdown?
All of our vehicles are covered by RAC 24 hour breakdown assistance, you will find details on your rental agreement.
11: What happens if i get a fine or speeding ticket?
The hirer is responsible for any tickets accrued during hire and a £25 admin fee will be applied.
Your details will be passed on to relevant authorities for any enquires made regarding any matters.
12: Cancellation policy?
We charge a partial fee of the hire which is non-refundable if you decide to cancel the booking completely.
You can change the date without losing the booking fee.
